How to use
Use this test for a built-in laptop camera or external USB webcam before meetings, classes, calls, streaming, or a PC handover.
- Click Allow Webcam and allow camera access when your browser asks for permission.
- Confirm that the preview appears, movement is smooth, and the image is clear and correctly exposed.
- Check the detected camera name and preview resolution below the video.
- Select Stop Webcam when you are finished.
Troubleshooting
If the camera does not start, check browser permission and the webcam connection. Close other apps that may be using the camera, then refresh the page if needed. Some browsers show the device name only after permission is granted.
Privacy note
This webcam test runs in your browser. We do not record, upload, or store webcam video. The preview is temporary and stops when you select Stop Webcam or close or refresh the page.
